Summer is upon us, and the games are rolling out of the warehouses. If you can only buy one game for your system, these are the games I recommend.
Nintendo Wii
Rock Band
Release Date: June 22, 2008
Why You Should Care: It's Rock Band. It's for the Wii. Now you can play the ultimate party game on the ultimate party system. It won't have the downloadable content, but it will have song packs released every month, so you won't be far behind your friends in terms of the songlist.
Playstation 3
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Release Date: June 12, 2008
Why You Should Care: Finally, another MGS game is released. If the early reports are correct, this game is shaping up to be one of the best games of 2008.
Xbox 360
Gears of War Refresh
Release Date: June 24, 2008
Why You Should Care: Not only is it Gears of War, it's Gears of War at a reduced price, with bonus map packs, dashboard themes and icons, and sneak previews at Gears of War 2. If you don't own this game, you owe yourself to pick this version up.
Portables
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift
System: Nintendo DS
Release Date: June 24, 2008
Why You Should Care: Final Fantasy Tactics is one of the deepest sRPG experiences on any console, and the fact that it's on the portable DS makes it even more amazing.
And there you have it. Feel free to comment. Did I miss THE game? Do you agree? Disagree?
